Build weight through the riff and a deliberate contrast between sections.
Limitations
The genre label does not determine tuning, vocal technique or an exact riff. Conflicting soft and heavy cues need section context.
A useful comparison
Hold the riff description steady and compare melodic with shouted chorus delivery.
If removing the tag would not change the intended energy, voice, texture or arrangement, it is probably not adding useful direction.
