Use the style or production brief to describe this sound. Specify the instrument, voice or texture it should affect; a bracketed label is not a guaranteed control. Keep a small set of compatible directions and separate them from the words to be sung.
Intended effect
Make the chorus feel collective and easy to remember through repetition and contrast.
Limitations
Louder production alone does not create an anthem. A long or crowded hook may work against the intended effect.
A useful comparison
Compare a short unison hook with layered harmonies while preserving the chorus lyric.
If removing the tag would not change the intended energy, voice, texture or arrangement, it is probably not adding useful direction.
